Culprit actually was the second to arrive and it was love at first sight. She's beautiful, with or without a faceup. And her hooves are really nice. They are sprayed white to match her skintone at the top of the blue section and some has scratched off, but it's alot easier to deal with than blushing at the bottom like my Gloti. Only little complaint I have with her is mostly her outfit. Seeing her thong in the front is a bit much. Wings where ok, except for the fake fur along the top but I'm not going to use them; up for sale they go.

I gave her a face-up and was going to blush her body but the weather turned before I got the chance. The weekend I planned to completed started great; was fairly warm with just a bit of a nip in the wind. I spent all Saturday afternoon sanding off her seams in preparation. But come Sunday it was raining hard and chilly out! It was like someone had thrown a gaint switch that flipped the weather from summer to fall. Poor gal will need to wait until next spring to get finished but at least she has a face.
Camache, my Gloti has a face-up and has his hooves blushed. But the hooves started scratching and chipping off the moment I had him strung together. Annoying but at least I did it myself and can redo it. I'm gonna have to redo it anyways, he needs to be blue instead of yellow/brown.
Amber is growing on me now that I gave her a face-up. I lucked out in that I got one warm weekend day after I'd put Cuprit back together. Tried to keep it nuetral in case I make her a boy over the winter but it just didn't quite work out that way.

On the non-dollie side of my life I'm picking up embroidery to embellish some of my costumes. Doing a practice project that I found a pattern for in my Mom's stitch bin. It was actually an iron on pattern, which made it really easy to set everything up. But after hours of stitching I've only filled in one leaf! I know I'll get faster the more I sew but it's still frustrating. I also need to figure out what other stitches I need to practice and where in the design they will look good. The project I'm doing this for is my next Lolita dress. I'm converting a dress I got at Superstore for 5 bucks. Need to add a ruffle around the bottom since it's a bit short; lace around the sleeves and embroidery at the waist. I would use my sewing machine but it's not great at doing assymetric designs that are the proper size. Most of it's stitches are either too small for my use or too big for the dolls. It is a lot quicker and easier than hand sewing though.

These pics are from a while back, but meaning to post them for a while now. Was fooling around with two 500 watt worklights that my Dad had lying around. Tried a couple of different ways to point them, but found my best pics were when I was reflecting both of my white ceiling. There are more in my photobucket, but here are some of the ones that I felt really turned out looking good.

( More pics under the cut... )
So, new doll plans are:
Amber--waiting for, going to be my draenei girls' goddess
Glati--waiting for, kid for draenei
SD Chii minimee--joined in the group, probably will get a DIM body for her
SD Rabbit gal minimee(always forget her name)--joined in the group, going to try a Feeple body for her
Mini Ed from FMA minimee--joined group, going to try a minifee active body. Not sure if he should have muscles or not yet.
2 Mini Draenei gals--because I'd love to try making my WoW chars
2 puki, 1 chocolate, 1 NS--because you can never just have one. Already waiting for eyes for these guys. The chocolate guy shall have red eyes, would just need to find him red hair.
Was also thinking of getting a couple of minifee, but I think it will be a long while until I do that. There are a couple of Anime cons I'd like to go and cosplay at this year.
I'm noticing I really like girl dolls. Hope my big girls don't mind not having any males their size around for a while. If a deal comes up I might get a random big boy, but with all the big guys in the city, I hope people won't mind taking pics with my girls when I finally get them.

I think all that hard work was worth it, no.
So I was thinking last Sunday how nice it would be to get a shipping notice From Bambicrony right then; since in theory it takes 5 work days for something to come over from Japan or Korea by EMS. I was pleasently surprised when I found it, then crossed my fingers that it wouldn't hit any problems. Imagine my surprise when I check the tracking today and find it's out on delivery! o.o So just after noon my package shows up. Man, Bambicronys have small heads. Which works well since both my minis have smaller than normal heads too. Of course, I showed her to my Mom and she had to say "Oh, they have a kid now? They're around that age." Uh~, okaay Mom. Thankfully she doesn't say that to me. Pics will follow, once I locate something more apporpriate for her to wear.

So the dollies have taken a swipe at my pocket book this weekend. Bambicrony is having an anniversary event with a give-a-way doll--which I fortunately don't like--that I am splitting with someone from the city! It was amusing actually, since I posted a 'want to split' thread really late last night on DOA and she happened to be on. So I have a Shy girl that I hope to turn into Plum from Chobits; hyper and really into pink. Hmmm, better make her a bit different than Piper though, or I might anger someone. ^_^;
